INTRODUCTION
The sangihe islands are spread out along the edge of the Pacific Ocean between the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia and Mindao, the Philippines. They are like a string of pearls with their white sand beaches and fertile land upon which can found a vast jungel, nutmeg gardens and coconut trees which decorate the foot of a mighty volcano reaching to the sky. A variety of sea life as well as beautifull wildlife and plant life inhabiting the land create an ornamental picture of nature in harmon which is complemented by the rich culture and freindliness of the local residents. TAHUNA
Welcome the capital of Sangihe Islands Regency. Tahuna is a clean town positioned in a bay of clear blue water. Your arrival will be received with a freiendly welcome from the locals and you may enjoy the cool, green and natural atmosphere of the town. The town is back dropped by the fertile mountain filled with nutmeg plants. The Volcano Mount Awu is 1320 meters high and provides a breathtaking spectacle in the sky, emitting smoke all day. Trekkers may reach the peak by taking a 3 kilomater hike from kolongan village to see a unique volcanic lake. The Town is the central of tourist activity with adequate accommodation facilities. DIVING can be done in Pintu Kota (City Door) a diving facility positioned along the side of the bay. Clear water with a mild current allows for relaxed diving. There is coral reef with depth of 15 meters, Flourishing with the coral reef fish , Which provides a magnificent view. This location is also perfect for safe night diving
